S7305895 Here are the user profiles [6MB PPT file] documented after receiving the reports on the interviews conducted by John Lumbe in Malawi. Unlike the other two locations where I went into the field to observe, listen and learn, here we just focused on four key questions:

How do you manage  your daily expenses?
How do you manage when there's an emergency?
How do you plan for a major expense (like buying a house or a wedding or funeral)?

and finally,

have you felt the influence of seasonality on the flow of your income over the course of the year?
